Soft, Hard and Sculpted: Lighting Styles in Boudoir
Soft window light flatters skin, softens texture and reads romantic. It is the default for a classic boudoir set.
Hard directional light creates contrast, shape and drama. It is unapologetic, editorial, and photographs muscle and structure beautifully.
Sculpted low-key lighting hides as much as it reveals — the language of fine art intimate work, where the body becomes form rather than portrait.
Most sessions use two of the three. We decide together during the consultation, based on the images you are drawn to.
